At Hal and Al's BBQ, the DMV's first Halal BBQ restaurant, Vestaboard has transformed their customer experience. The restaurant uses Vestaboard to showcase a live tally of the total amount of brisket smoked, notify customers when their orders are ready, and indicate when the restaurant has sold out with the push of a button.
"I absolutely love our Vestaboard! It runs a different message every 5 minutes, including a live count of the total trees planted since we've opened to offset the wood we use in our smokers. It also displays all our orders ready for pickup, up to 10 at a time, and then goes back to our messages, including a countdown to the grand opening of our new restaurant and translations of the word 'barbecue' in every language!" shares owner, Mohsin Rehman.
Mohsin has taken Vestaboard a step further by utilizing AI to create custom JavaScript with the Vestaboard API. This custom coding keeps the board continuously updated with customer orders and synchronizes with an "Only Push When Sold Out" button, ensuring the information displayed is always current and relevant.
